Plart – Museum of Plastics

LThe fluidity of a suspended ribbon connects the vaulted spaces in a unique exhibition path for the plastic works at Plart. The structure is a single large curvilinear volume, suspended approximately 1.5 meters above the ground, consisting of two parallel black planes made from next-generation thermoformed acrylic Corian. It is enclosed at the back by an opalescent backlit backdrop and, at the front, by a thin transparent methacrylate sheet. The room, deliberately kept dim, enhances the interplay of light: the cool light diffused from the back is counterbalanced by spotlights positioned flush with the upper sheet, highlighting the colors and shapes of the displayed objects.
