DIMOREGALLERY continues its journey, which began nearly two years ago, of collaboration and networking among key players in the world of art and design. Following the partnership with Galleria Luisa delle Piane, involving the exchange and sharing of spaces and visions for the event Occupazione, Dimore Gallery presents Life on Mars, an exhibition featuring seven young and talented designers, each different from one another but united by what the gallery’s founders, Emiliano Salci and Britt Moran, describe as a forward-looking perspective, whether through materials, craftsmanship, uses, or aesthetic impact. This journey presents settings that blend the contemporary creations of these seven designers with timeless furnishings from design history, creating a harmonious contrast of forms and colors with a futuristic impact. The experimentation with production techniques, the reuse of objects and materials, and the consequent recontextualization breathe new life into domestic items in some cases and purely decorative objects in others. This is an interdisciplinary exchange of perspectives and visions, resulting from the dialogue between the gallery and the designers and their free mutual contamination.
