La città Dentro

The City Within / Sequence Plans
Atmosphere and details, in balance between the ancient and the modern, tell of domestic spatiality that finds its underlying inspiration in this city and its history, echoing a love, homage, and interplay of references. Shades of hazelnut, blush, and cream envelop the space, making it continuous, welcoming, and soft. The stereometric elegance of the wall structure is segmented through a clever stratagem: the ceiling that seems to float, detached from the vertical partitions by a blade of light, which actually conceals the technical installations and ventilation ducts. Like in a cinematic sequence, a succession of backdrops characterized by different textures marks and defines the environments and their functions: fabric for the curtains and wardrobe cabinetry, oak wood for the herringbone parquet floor and the slats of the custom fixed furnishings, wallpaper for the living area – featuring an ancient plan view of Rome – iron and mirrors for the totem that covers the fireplace block. And, inevitably, travertine.
