Baroque Rococo by Campana Brothers at the Louvre

At the Louvre Museum, in one of the rooms of the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, the completed work by the Campana brothers, curated by Galleria O. in Rome, arrives: the exhibition presents 11 pieces from the “Baroque Rococo” collection, reflecting on the relationship between history and contemporary art. This blend of exuberance, from the Roman 17th century and contemporary Brazilian influences, immerses itself in an ancestral space: the floors, walls, and display bases are covered with doormats to enhance the bronzes and bamboo textures, illuminated by warm lights, golden in the darkness, like a fire burning for an ancient rite, playful yet destabilizing at the same time.
